The Los Angeles Superior Court has issued a temporary change in the processing of Requests for Dismissals for unlimited civil cases at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.
Filers still must electronically file their Requests for Dismissals through an EFSP like CourtFiling.net, but the file will now solely be marked as “received.” The court will then manually process the file and mail back the completed Request for Dismissal. Therefore, be sure to have the correct physical address on the filed dismissal paperwork.
This is only a temporary change until the courthouse’s backlog is resolved. Previously, requests for dismissals were rejected, but this new process will resolve that error.
If you have any additional questions, please contact the Stanley Mosk Courthouse directly.
