Los Angeles court filing has been in a period of transition, as more court case types are moving over to eFiling. While the Los Angeles Superior Court adjust to the new system, some mandatory dates are pushed back.
Complex civil mandatory eFiling was initially scheduled for February but has now been moved to April 1st, 2019. Concurrently, family law mandatory eFiling is now required in May of 2019 instead of January.
This delay allows the courts to catch up on their current workload, train more county clerks, and work through any unforeseen issues on their end. For eFilers, it allows more time to learn how to properly file and for law firms to create their new processes.
For more information regarding the Complex civil eFiling delay, please reference the LASC Notice.
