Update: LA Complex Civil was first delayed until July 1st, 2019. As of July 1st, 2019, it is now delayed until January 1st, 2020.
The Los Angeles Complex Civil eFiling mandatory date is now July 20th, 2019. This means that if you have a complex civil case in Los Angeles, you will still need to traditionally file paperwork.
While eFiling ultimately makes the judicial process easier, the transition to electronic filing can take time to perfect. The Los Angeles Court moved the complex civil eFiling date back, which gives county clerks, officials, lawyers, paralegals, and self-represented litigants more time to adjust to the new way of filing your legal paperwork.
Keep in mind that even though mandatory Complex Civil eFiling is delayed, you must still eFile for Limited and Unlimited Civil in Los Angeles through an EFSP like CourtFiling.net.
